This movie is the prequel of Underworld and Underworld Evolution, the beginning and the origins of the centuries-old feud between the aristocratic vampires known as the Death Dealers and their one time slaves, the Lycans. In the dark ages a young Lycan named Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor, the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Unexpectedly Lucian fell in love with the vampire named Sonja the daughter of Viktor. Later in the story Lucian will be joined by Sonja in his battle against the Death Dealer army to get the freedom he was seeking for his race.
